Nokia 1600

My first ever mobile phone, as far as i can remember, It had no backlight when i had it, but it did previously have one. Must have died out at some point. It had colour screen. Similar to the screen of the Game Boy colour. It had a speaking clock feature, accessible by holding the * key on the home screen. It randomly started triggering randomly for me, and still does.

Release Date: June 2005

Samsung SGH-E900

One of my most favourite phones of  all time. I have always loved how the interface looked, like what the glowing futuristic ring if you would get a call. I also loved how there would be a Newton’s Cradle animation on the stopwatch. This was the last phone I ever had that ran on the Orange carrier before it’s joining with T-Mobile to make EE in 2014. I stopped using it because it’s proprietary charger port for some reason stopped working. If the charger port didn’t break, and the carriers didn’t phase out 2G and 3G, I would be happy using this phone today. I do remember it having several java games.

Release Date: March 2006

Commonly referred by me as the “3 Phone”, The NEC e313 was given to me by my parents as an emergency replacement after the E900 broke. It was a phone that was sitting in a box for years. It ran on the carrier network known as 3. I remember finding the interface very tedious, especially with it’s loud beeps. It also didn’t seem like a phone in your pocket... It had a rotatable selfie camera though, so that’s something! This phone literally fully croaked after a month.

Release year: 2004

NEC e313

Served as an emergency-emergency replacement. This phone’s price was countable with your hands. It was good for calling and messaging, that’s about it. Nothing special.
